Our practice
of cosmetic and reconstructive surgery is provided
in a highly personalized, professional and state-of-the-art
office environment. Consultation, pre-surgical preparation,
surgery and post-surgical care are provided in a
professional and caring manner.
Consultations provide ample time with the surgeon
to allow for a thorough evaluation, based on patient
concerns and priorities. Patient education and understanding
are the primary goals of the consultation.
Preoperative preparation provides in-depth individualized
instruction, computer imaging and thorough discussion
by surgeon and staff.
Surgery procedures are carried out in our state-of-the-art
office/surgical suite, which is accredited by the
American Association for the Accreditation of Ambulatory
Surgical Facilities. Most cosmetic procedures are
performed using local anesthesia with intravenous
sedation (twilight sleep), providing for patient
comfort without the added risk of a general anesthetic
(deep sleep). A certified registered nurse anesthetist
(CRNA) administers the IV sedation and monitors our
patients manually and electronically, further enhancing
safety and reducing risk.
Post surgical care is done on an outpatient basis
for nearly all cosmetic procedures, permitting patients
to convalesce in the comfort of familiar surroundings.
Our staff is in contact by telephone and available
for any patient problems or concerns. For some of
the more major procedures, limited care facilities
are utilized.
