North Dallas Plastic Surgery (NDPS) announced that Dr. Harlan Pollock has retired. Here is the announcement from Dr. Pollock, himself:
It is with mixed emotions that I announce my retirement from the active practice of Plastic Surgery as of Jan 31, 2015. Even though I am in good health and still enjoy the clinical practice of plastic surgery, I have made this very difficult and bittersweet decision. I will sincerely miss surgery, our devoted and supportive staff, and all my wonderful patients.
It has been incredible to work daily with my son Todd, who after 17 years in practice continues to impress me with his surgical technique, judgment and compassionate patient care. I am particularly proud of his leadership in the Dallas County Medical Society, Dallas Society of Plastic Surgery, Texas Society of Plastic Surgery and service to the Texas Medical Advisory Board.
It has also been gratifying for both myself and Todd to be able to make a significant contribution to our specialty with the innovation and publication of our “progressive tension suture” or PTS technique for tummy tuck. This approach has revolutionized the procedure, and has made tummy tuck a safer procedure, while making the recovery easier.
Retirement has been made easier knowing my patients are in Todd’s care.
I look forward to spending time with my wife of 50+ years and my grandchildren.
